We needed a last minute hotel and found The Abergavenny had a room available. Booking was super easy and when we arrived, the staff were really friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve had in a while! The room was really lovely and clean. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Abergavenny.

An amazing hotel in this lovely town. An easy walk from the station if you are coming by train or a couple of minutes from the bus interchange. It looks like it has been recently renovated and the rooms are lovely and cosy. They have a bar with many local beers and spirits, plus a great wine selection. There is a continental breakfast that is first rate. An excellent selection of food, coffee and tea, plus pastry. The staff are excellent. There were only two things to be aware of, we were on the first floor and had to take our bags up a narrow staircase, people who are not very ambulant may find this difficult, so inquire about assistance or a ground floor room. The WiFi in our room was also a little intermittent, and I had to leave the room on occasion to get a connection. All in all though an excellent stay.

Was back again for another visit, always a pleasure, lovely hotel, great staff, left early and they had made up some breakfasts for us to take & takeaway coffee which was a lovely touch, thank you! Will be back for more adventures soon I am sure. Definitely to be recommended.

One of the greater stay experiences we’ve had! Ffion and the rest of the staff were so friendly and helpful, it was incredible customer service. The rooms were really clean, the beds super comfy and the water pressure in the shower was top notch. Breakfast was included and it was a delight. It was a continental breakfast with decent variety. If we are ever back in Abergavenny we would definitely stay there again. Being close to the Main Street and a large Aldi was a huge plus too.

We called in for drinks and a snack one evening. The building has been renovated and was in good condition. We tried locally brewed beer and had a meat and cheese selection to eat. It was a good experience.

Lovely quiet bar to have a drink at in the evenings. Bar staff are always particularly friendly, and the tapas is yummy.
